Our young director Tara Mitrović is currently in London, where she is taking part in a seven-day residency exploring a new original work she developed in collaboration with dramaturg and writer Sofija Dimitrijević. In November 2024, during a residency in Rome, Sofija Dimitrijević worked on the initial concept for the text Quite from Two to Six, which is now in its final stage of development and will premiere at Heartefact House in Belgrade in March this year.
In collaboration with Foreign Affairs, Tara will use the residency to conduct practical research on the piece together with actors and a director. A public presentation of the text will take place on Thursday, 22 January, at 2:30 pm at Jermyn Street Theatre. The text was translated into English by translator Ivana Đurić Paunović.
The residency is organized in partnership with organizations from Italy, France, Romania, and the United Kingdom as part of the Playground project, funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme. Playground’s new, innovative methodology offers emerging authors the opportunity to further develop their new dramatic texts through hands-on work and more complex collaboration with directors, actors, and translators.
