Heartefact invites you to apply for a four-day visiting program to DokuFest, the International Documentary and Short Film Festival held in Prizren. The visiting program will take place from August 8 to August 11, 2026.
DokuFest is one of the most significant film festivals in the region, known for its rich film program, educational content, and space for encounters between artists, cultural workers, activists, and young people from different communities. The festival brings together authors, producers, researchers, and audiences from the region, Europe, and around the world, creating a space for the exchange of ideas, dialogue, and discussion on contemporary social issues.
Through participation in the visiting program, participants will have the opportunity to:
- attend film screenings and festival events,
- participate in discussions, panels, and workshops,
- meet cultural actors from Prizren and the region,
- develop professional and regional cooperation networks,
- exchange experiences with young people from different backgrounds.
Participants are expected to actively engage throughout the entire duration of the visit, demonstrate readiness to exchange experiences, and participate in group discussions and joint activities.
The program includes:
- organized transportation to and from Prizren,
- accommodation during the program,
- meals and refreshments during the program,
- festival accreditations,
- organized visits and meetings with cultural organizations and artists.
Heartefact believes in the power of art and culture to encourage dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation among people in the Western Balkans. Through this program, we aim to enable young people from Serbia to gain new experiences, develop contacts, and participate in regional cultural exchanges.
The call is intended for final-year students and young professionals interested in documentary film, contemporary art and culture, media, socially engaged practices, cultural production, and regional cooperation and exchange initiatives.
Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate interest in regional cooperation, cultural exchange, and active participation in group discussions and the festival program.

The working language of the program is English, therefore active knowledge of English is required for participation.
