The play “A Brief History of Burgers and Other Stories,” an original project by Andrej Nosov and performed by Dutch actor Simon Versnel, was performed on October 27 and 28, 2023, at the Dodona Theatre in Prishtina as part of the Kosovo Theatre Showcase Festival.
The Kosovo Theatre Showcase is an annual theater event that gathers selectors, critics, and other theater professionals in Prishtina, as well as in other cities across Kosovo. The program features around ten performances from Kosovo and other countries, presented to a diverse audience. The festival is organized by Qendra Multimedia from Prishtina, aiming to showcase the most significant theatrical achievements of Kosovo artists and to connect theater professionals from across Europe through panels, discussions, and accompanying programs. Heartefact traditionally participates in this festival, breaking down barriers in the collaboration between theater institutions and organizations in both countries. In past years, we have performed plays such as “Kiddo” and “Our Son.” Additionally, for the first time in over 23 years, our performances were hosted in Gjilan and Ferizaj. This year, our play “A Brief History of Burgers and Other Stories” was performed in Pristina.
During the festival, Heartefact also organized for about ten spectators from Heartefact House to visit the event and watch a selection of plays. Over four days, our group visited Prishtina and Gjakova and watched five performances by Kosovo artists.
