In December, Heartefact residents will stand on the Heartefact House stage again in the plays “Our Son” and “Would be a Shame for the Plants to Die”, and we will host our first guests at the House – the Sarajevo Theatre SARTR and their play “Visiting Mr Green”. We’ll record and stream some old and new podcasts within these four walls, and throughout stage readings, we will present new authors.
The play Our Son by Patrik Lazic, after notable and award-winning performances in the region, continues to be performed in Belgrade, but also outside of it, so the theatre audience in Novi Sad will have the opportunity to see this play on 16th of December as part of the “Synergy” festival. You can watch this family drama at the Heartefact House on December 14th and 21st at 8 pm.
The young and dynamic cast of the play Would be a Shame for the Plants to Die, from performance to performance achieves the director’s idea to perform this text differently each time and tell the audience two love stories, with an almost identical script, in two completely different ways, but equally emotional and intimate . You can watch Would be a Shame for the Plants to Die on December 6th and 15th at 8 pm on the Heartefact House stage.
In the month of December, the Heartefact House has the special pleasure of hosting the theatre performance Visiting Mr. Green by the Sarajevo War Theater (SARTR). The play is a project by Miki Trifunov, Alban Ukaj and Nejra Babic. Visiting Mr. Green is a touching and humorous story about an old man and a young man who, despite their initial misunderstanding and intolerance, gradually grow closer and find comfort in each other. You can watch Visiting Mr. Green on the Heartefact House stage on December 20th at 8 pm.
Aside from theatrical performances, we will also continue recording our podcasts. On December 11th and 25th we will record new episodes of the House Council Sessions hosted by Patrik Lazic.
For the end of the year, on December 29th at 7pm, to all the fans of our most listened podcast Pleasure in the Text by Biljana Srbljanovic and Vladimir Ceric, we will be gifting another live recording of the podcast.
But, the events at Heartefact House don’t end there:
On December 10th at 6pm, we will present the work of author Dhurata Hoti created as result of an artistic residency that was part of the Reconnection 2.0 project, funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by Qendra Multimedia (Prishtina) and the Heartefact Fund (Belgrade).
Also, in December we will announce the winner of our annual Competition for the Best Contemporary Engaged Dramatic Text. The winning play will be performed as a stage reading in front of the Heartefact House audience.
Get your tickets online at Tickets.rs or at their selling points in front of the Belgrade Youth Center, at the Republic Square, or at the Ušće Mall. The number of seats at the House is limited so we advise you not to wait with purchasing your tickets! All our plays are subtitled in English!
We’ll see you at the House!
