Last Saturday, we once again presented the Slavic Soundwalking project, which Hartefakt is implementing in collaboration with partners from the Cultural Information Center in Zagreb, Yelo Production, and the Danilo Kiš Cultural Center in Ljubljana. This is a mobile application designed to preserve the heritage of South Slavic languages, featuring 75 audio stories from each country, available in five languages: Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, English, and sign language. These stories can be listened to at 75 locations in Belgrade, Zagreb, and Ljubljana.
Starting at 12 PM, we gathered at the Main Post Office, the first location, and then continued walking while listening to the stories at different locations, including the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the Hall of the Cultural Center of Belgrade, and finally concluded the walk at Atelje 212. This time, the group consisted of representatives from cultural institutions and theaters from various parts of Europe who were visiting Belgrade for the weekend. It was a great opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with the contemporary literary scene of this region.
The Slavic Soundwalking project is co-financed by the European Union through the Creative Europe program and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
