Project description: The Citizens’ Association “Anonymous said:” is dedicated to the field of contemporary artistic production. Its activities include curatorial, publishing, and exhibition projects. The project Gender (Im)Balance of Revolution 5.0: Technology and Feminism was based on a critical examination of the impact of technology on existing gender relations, as well as on experimental proposals grounded in feminist theories on the use of technology in shaping a more equal society of the future. Raising public awareness of racial, gender, class, and other forms of prejudice requires effective communication strategies. The project therefore focused on communication strategies, including artistic approaches, that highlight the importance of these issues while exploring possible directions for their future regulation and resolution.
Following extensive research and the preparation of a series of studies, the final presentation of the research, titled Coding the Gaze – Technology, Art and Society: Feminist Perspectives, was presented at the closing conference held at the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. The conference presented the research findings and initiated a discussion on these topics through both a publication and an online programme. The two-day conference on the theme of coding the gaze featured contributions from Annet Dekker (University of Amsterdam), Selena Savić (University of Amsterdam), Steph Maj Swanson (artist, Sweden), Hinda Haned (Owls & Arrows, Amsterdam), Jelena Guga (Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, Belgrade), Darija Medić (University of Colorado Boulder), Computational Mama (Ajaibghar, India), Zorica Đergović-Joksimović (Faculty of Philosophy, Novi Sad), Uroš Krčadinac (Faculty of Media and Communications, Belgrade), and Anica Tucakov (the journal [O]GLED / EYE TO I, Belgrade).
