Through this call, the CfD project supports cultural and artistic projects that strengthen critical thinking, support and initiate constructive dialogue on important social and political issues, encourage social cohesion and raise public awareness of the importance and necessity of accepting diversity – especially when it comes to minority and vulnerable groups in our society.
These projects should nurture talents, innovative and brave artistic and cultural expressions and practices that question the dominant social and political narratives, but also contribute to the development of the contemporary cultural and artistic scene in Serbia.
The call is intended for projects that focus on various areas of contemporary cultural and artistic creativity, including: performing arts, visual arts, literature, music, audiovisual arts, comics, photography, design, cultural policy and management. Activities that can be supported include: exhibitions, installations, plays, performances, workshops, lectures and other educational programs, public debates and conversations, audiovisual production, artistic and cultural research, festivals and similar formats.
These activities may include:
- New cultural and artistic productions – the production of new works of art and cultural events of various formats, which deal with various artistic disciplines and themes, promote contemporary artistic expression, shed light on social issues and contribute to the development of the local community.
- Tours and dissemination of already existing cultural and artistic content – projects that aim to tour already existing cultural productions or spread artistic content in environments that have limited access to cultural and artistic content.
Also, all projects that in any way support or promote discriminatory, radical, violent, racist or nationalist behaviors and attitudes will be automatically disqualified from the selection process.
