Velibor Zejak

My name is Velibor Zejak (23). I grew up in Novi Sad, where I am currently studying at the Faculty of Law, specializing in internal affairs. I am politically engaged with the Movement of Free Citizens (Serbian: Pokret slobodnih građana) as a member of the Main Board, where I lead the media team, preparing content for social media posts and press releases, and represent the party in the media. Additionally, I participate in the City Board’s activities, initiate and participate in youth activities, and am involved in fieldwork. I also volunteer at the Regional Academy for Democratic Development, assisting in managing social media and implementing activities. During my political activism, I have attended various lectures and seminars on human rights and gender equality. Currently, I am participating in the US-NATO project Seeing is Believing, organized by Edward P. Joseph, where we work on proposals to combat Russian malign influence in the Western Balkans, aiming to present solutions at the next NATO summit in Washington. Through Heartefact’s project, I plan to establish my own non-governmental organization to help young leaders engage in political and social life. I am also working on a project addressing gender equality and discrimination against women in politics, aiming to raise awareness of issues such as gender-based discrimination, violence, sexual harassment, and media discrimination faced by women in the political arena.
