Aleksandra Plemić

I am Aleksandra Plemić (43). I graduated from the Economic High School in Bečej and obtained my degree from the Faculty of Management in Sremski Karlovci. Currently, I work as an accounting clerk at SP Laboratory in Bečej. My activism primarily takes place on social media, where I am well-known for encouraging women to think critically and improve themselves. I am active on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, receiving daily positive feedback from women across Serbia. This motivates me to set new goals, particularly in the fight against violence toward women. My focus is on prevention, which I believe can be achieved through education. Women in our region often lack the education needed to recognize early signs of violence, and I see this as an opportunity to make a difference. I aspire to establish an educational center in Bečej to support and educate women in my community. This center would host various experts, community discussions, and creative workshops for youth. I believe that systematic and persistent education for women of all ages will lead to early recognition of violence and effective prevention of more severe forms. My commitment to this cause is driven by alarming statistics indicating that our society still falls short of achieving satisfactory gender equality. Through the Heartefact program, I aim to further develop and implement these educational initiatives.
