This exhibition is a visual portrait of the city, people, industry and agriculture. It consists of eight posters, which contain photo stories – photos of Srebrenica residents and their descriptions, as well as accompanying texts.
The moments of everyday life, shown in the photos, show the potential that Srebrenica has, the positive events and the hope for the future that spark beneath the still existing political and personal conflicts.
On the example of Srebrenica, the exhibition shows a new, young generation growing up in Bosnia and wanting a normal life. It is ready to fight for it in a peaceful way, through political protests or positive cultural, musical and artistic actions throughout the country.
The editor of the project is Christiane Erharter, and the author of the photos is Dejan Petrović. The texts are signed by writer, cultural critic and translator Boris Buden, politician Erhard Busek, writer and publicist Slavenka Drakulić, president of the ERSTE Foundation Advisory Board Doraja Eberle, director Haris Pašović, art historian, curator and writer Bojana Pejić, former High Representative for BiH Wolfgang Petritsch) and director Jasmila Žbanić.
