Ilhan Radetinac

My name is Ilhan Radetinac (27) and I come from Novi Pazar. I completed my undergraduate studies in Communication and Public Relations at the International Balkan University in Skopje, followed by a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democracy through the joint ERMA program of the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. I am currently engaged at the National Assembly of Serbia, supporting the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality and the Committee on Environmental Protection through policy research, drafting, legislative monitoring and coordination on issues related to vulnerable groups, minority rights and environmental justice. I am actively involved in several regional and international programs and networks, including Global Campus Alumni, the BFPE Youth for Inclusion, Equality and Trust program, the YIHR internship program, the OSCE traineeship scheme and I serve as a Youth Ambassador for Victim Support Europe. Alongside institutional work, I develop Avangarda, a documentary research platform focusing on environmental degradation, political violence, transitional justice and social inequalities. I directed the documentary The Story of Rogozna and authored publications related to human rights and justice. Through the Human Rights Leadership program, I aim to strengthen my advocacy skills, expand my knowledge of public policy and civic participation and build a collaborative network for projects that connect academic research, institutional work and creative activism.
