My name is Ajša Bahović Latifović. I hold a degree in English language and literature and a Master’s degree in Interreligious Studies and Peacebuilding. For the past 15 years, I have been active in the civil society sector, and for 7 years I have been into education, working simultaneously on development projects in the areas of social inclusion, humanitarian law, and advocacy aimed at improving social-protection systems, with a particular focus on youth and families at risk. In my current organization, I primarily work on fundraising, public relations, and youth programs. Through the HRL Program, I aim to strengthen my advocacy skills in topics related to building positive peace within gender-sensitive communities that carry post-conflict trauma and the burdens of patriarchy. I am also eager to deepen my understanding of mechanisms that will help me design effective and inclusive programs for children and youth.
