Vuk Vitković

My name is Vuk Vitković (22) and I come from Zrenjanin. I am currently a fourth-year student in the Social Work program at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. I became engaged in human rights advocacy as early as high school, but it was only a few years ago that I began to pursue non-formal education in this field and actively expand my knowledge. Since the very beginning of the university blockades, I have been actively involved in the student movement as part of the organizing teams behind some of the largest protests in Serbia, primarily those that took place in Novi Sad. I am currently a member and treasurer of the European student organization AEGEE, through which I aim to further mobilize students in Novi Sad. In addition, I am an intern at CRTA, where I gain practical experience in civic engagement and democratic processes. Looking ahead, I would like to co-found a youth organization in Zrenjanin together with several colleagues, as such an initiative is greatly needed in the city. This goal represents one of my main motivations for applying to the HRL Program.
