Pavle Hrnčić

I am Pavle Hrnčić, born in 2001 in Novi Sad, Serbia. I completed high school at “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj”, a social-linguistic program, and during that time I was a member of the youth theater “Mišolovka”, where I developed a strong interest in art and social sciences. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad as part of the first pilot generation of students, focusing on cultural policies, media, and social processes. During my studies, I volunteered at various cultural projects and festivals and was particularly involved in the youth theater festival UPAD at SKCNS, where I worked as a producer and moderator for artist talks. I am a recipient of the Dositej scholarship for young talents in 2024. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Film and Television Production at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. I actively participated in student protests and blockades in 2024 and 2025 and later became a reporter for the student editorial team Blokada Info, documenting protests, interviewing participants, and producing media content. I work on LGBT topics through my artistic and media projects and have already created socially engaged documentary films. I have worked on documentary, animated, and feature films in Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia, and I am currently developing the documentary-animated film “Ether of Hate.” Through the HRL Program, I aim to enhance my production and organizational skills, deepen my knowledge of human rights and cultural policies, and develop projects focused on youth, art, and social inclusion.
