Srđan Miljević is a writer from Belgrade with over ten years of experience in the civil sector, working with organizations such as Civil Rights Defenders and Forum ZFD. He is the author of a book of short stories titled Svima nam je prvi put, and his work has been featured in various anthologies and literary magazines. In his writing, Srđan is especially interested in topics such as dealing with the past and LGBTIQ issues. Srđan collected cross-border love stories between Serbs and Kosovo Albanians, with a particular emphasis on several compelling narratives, including those of queer individuals. For this project, he conducted face-to-face interviews with selected couples in informal settings, ensuring participants’ privacy while fostering a deep understanding of the challenges they face. The collected stories have been transformed into artistic narratives under the title From the Balkans, with Love, and Srđan aims to present them through various art forms, such as public readings, thereby initiating conversations and promoting a more positive discourse on Serbian-Albanian relations.
