Four projects were realised, based on artistic, theoretical, and activist research into the experiences of Rex\u2019s participants, collaborators, and audiences: the survey <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How (Through\/By Whom) Does Cultural Centre Rex Exist Today?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; the artistic research project <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rex\u2019s Inner Kaleidoscope<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rex Archive Video Landscapes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project; and the open call for works on the theme <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Continue Without Yourself? <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The open call addressed the wider public, with participants responding to questions about different artistic formats before a jury composed of some of the most active and long-standing collaborators of Cultural Centre Rex: Dragan Proti\u0107 Prota, Dragana Alfirevi\u0107, Du\u0161an Maljkovi\u0107, Zoe Gudovi\u0107, Marina Dokmanovi\u0107, Vahida Ramujki\u0107, Dalibor Ran\u0111i\u0107, Aleksandar Guba\u0161, with special honorary positions reserved for Darka Radosavljevi\u0107, Katarina \u017divanovi\u0107, and Du\u0161ica Parezanovi\u0107.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Svetlana Ivanov realised the public workshops Rex\u2019s Inner Kaleidoscope and conducted interviews with participants involved in Rex\u2019s programmes and projects. Artist Milo\u0161 Tomi\u0107 created collage video miniatures based on Rex\u2019s archives for the project Video Landscapes-Collages, while journalist and activist Ilir Ga\u0161i conducted the artistic research How Does Rex Exist? among a wide circle of 1,200 Rex collaborators and audience members.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An open call and exhibition of artistic and documentary works on the theme How to Continue Without Yourself? were realised. Numerous participants presented their work through a recital and performative evaluation of ongoing artistic research and other collaborative experiences, viewed through the broader perspective of Rex\u2019s history and heritage. The Rex Evolutionary Garden was updated, and wall newspapers dedicated to current social developments were published.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the accompanying programmes, the pop-up performance Behind Closed Doors stands out, as it coincidentally aligned perfectly with the concept of \u201ccontinuing without oneself\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project enabled reflection on the past, present, and future of the centre, as well as on its conceptual and material heritage within the field of engaged culture and the broader social context of the \u201cend of an era\u201d.
