Project description: <\/b>The <\/span>ECHO CURVE<\/span><\/i> project was realised through the collaboration of three regional organisations: the Artists\u2019 Association \u201cProject EXP\u201d (Novi Sad), the Association for Artistic Research and Curatorial Practice \u201cPress to Exit Project Space\u201d (Skopje), and the Autonomous Cultural Centre \u201cAttack\u201d (Zagreb).<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The organisers launched a regional open call for visual artists up to the age of 30 who were interested in exploring and initiating discussions on the potential of artistic practice as a relevant method of communication in contemporary society.<\/p>\n\n

From the applications received, nine artists were selected, three from each city, to work intensively for six months on the development of their artistic works, in collaboration with mentor Jane \u010calovski and project curator Jovanka Popova. Through mentoring sessions, Jane \u010calovski worked with the participants on developing their ideas and proposed works, while also facilitating group discussions that were essential for their further artistic processes.<\/p>\n\n

Before the final exhibition in Novi Sad, which represented the culmination of the project, participants first visited Zagreb. Activities in Zagreb were organised at the Autonomous Cultural Centre \u201cAttack!\u201d. Following an inspiring lecture by curator Sabina Sabolovi\u0107 from the \u201cWHW\u201d collective, participants visited significant cultural and artistic venues in Zagreb, including the Centre for Independent Culture \u201cPogon\u201d and the collective \u201cKU\u0106\u0106A\u201d, gaining insight into the city\u2019s independent cultural and artistic scene. The next study visit took place in Skopje, where most activities were held at the Cultural Centre \u201cJadro\u201d. The programme also included visits to important cultural and artistic locations in the city, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, where participants were guided through the exhibition by curator Bojana \u0160umova, as well as a visit to the independent publishing house \u201cPrivate Print\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

The ECHO CURVE project exhibition was held in the Creative District in Novi Sad. The exhibition presented the work of nine young artists from three regional cities: Manuela Pauk, Ivan Stani\u0107, and Stela Mikulin from Zagreb; Jovan Josifovski, Hristijan Na\u0161ulovski, and Igor Tanevski from Skopje; and Mirjana Milovanovi\u0107, Natalija Rankovi\u0107, and Una Toma\u0161evi\u0107 from Novi Sad. The exhibition was accompanied by curator-led tours and discussions, enabling local audiences to become acquainted with the work of young artists from Serbia and the region.<\/p>\n\n
