What remains of love as time passes? How much can we trust our own memories, and do we remember events as they really happened, or do we gradually turn them into our own version of the past? These are some of the questions explored in the multimedia performance <\/span>Buried Wonders<\/b>, which will be presented at <\/span>Hartefact House on 7, 8 and 9 October at 8 PM<\/b>. Based on a work by Monika Herceg and directed by Nina Violi\u0107, the performance stars Leon Lu\u010dev<\/b> and Jelena Graovac Lu\u010dev<\/b>. \n \n<\/span>Combining live performance, video and music, <\/span>Buried Wonders<\/b> blurs the boundaries between theatre and film, and between the real and the imagined. This theatrical film explores love and memory, as well as what happens between the two: the questioning of truth and illusion, and the ways in which we shape the life we have lived through our own memories.<\/span> \n<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Moving through three symbolic spaces, <\/span>the Garden of Eden, the Bridge and the Apartment<\/b>, <\/span>Buried Wonders<\/span><\/i> follows different moments in a relationship. From the first encounter and the beginnings of love, through maturity and coming to terms with the passage of time, to the intimate space of a shared life, tenderness, passion, intimacy, fear, uncertainty and loss take turns.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Video projections are an important part of the performance\u2019s multimedia language. Filmed at the Krka waterfalls, where the two main characters first met and their love story began, they immerse the actors in a \u201cliving image\u201d and take the audience into the woman\u2019s intimate final moments. Here, the boundaries between reality and imagination remain open, making it impossible to always distinguish between what really happened and what we wished for, imagined or reconstructed afterwards.<\/p>\n\n

The set and video design are by <\/span>Toni Soprano<\/b>, with costumes by <\/span>Andrea Bistri\u010di\u0107<\/b> and music by <\/span>Ivanka Mazurkijevi\u0107 and Damir Martinovi\u0107 Mrle<\/b> (<\/span>Let 3<\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The performance is a co-production of the artistic organisation taht, Centar za kulturu Tre\u0161njevka and Tvr\u0111ava kulture \u0160ibenik.<\/p>\n\n

Buried Wonders<\/b> will be performed at <\/span>Hartefact House on 7, 8 and 9 October at 8 PM<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
