{"id":28850,"date":"2026-07-17T11:26:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T11:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heartefact.org\/culture-for-democracy-organizations-supported-through-the-job-shadowing-call-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-07-17T11:31:06","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T11:31:06","slug":"culture-for-democracy-organizations-supported-through-the-job-shadowing-call-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heartefact.org\/en\/culture-for-democracy-organizations-supported-through-the-job-shadowing-call-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Culture for Democracy: Organizations Supported through the Job Shadowing Call 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the Swiss-supported&nbsp;<strong>Culture for Democracy (CfD)<\/strong>&nbsp;project, Heartefact launched the Job Shadowing call 2026, aimed at strengthening the capacities of independent cultural organizations through knowledge exchange, practical learning and professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call offered organizations the opportunity to apply under one of two support models: an&nbsp;<strong>internship<\/strong>, designed for young and emerging cultural professionals to gain new knowledge and experience through hands-on work, and&nbsp;<strong>on-the-job training<\/strong>, aimed at strengthening the knowledge and competencies of existing organizational team members through collaboration with experienced experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A total of&nbsp;<strong>14 applications<\/strong>&nbsp;were received. Following an evaluation by three independent experts and the approval process by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), four organizations were selected whose proposals stood out for their quality, relevance and potential to contribute to the long-term capacity development of the independent cultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selected proposals address several key priorities of the Culture for Democracy project, with a particular focus on&nbsp;<strong>ecological sustainability and the greening of the cultural sector<\/strong>, as well as&nbsp;<strong>social inclusion through the active participation and professional development of young people<\/strong>. All four programmes contribute to strengthening the organizational capacities of independent cultural actors through knowledge transfer, practical experience and the introduction of new approaches into their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Particular attention was given to geographic representation and the decentralisation of the cultural sector. Three of the four selected organizations operate outside Belgrade and Novi Sad, in Ba\u010dka Palanka, Bajina Ba\u0161ta and Pan\u010devo. For the first time, this year\u2019s selection also includes more internships than on-the-job training programmes, enabling greater direct engagement with young people and increased investment in the development of a new generation of cultural professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The organizations supported through the Job Shadowing Call 2026 are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Festival of Ecological Theatre for Children and Youth (FEP), Ba\u010dka Palanka<\/strong><br>Support model: Internship<br>Approved amount:\u00a0<strong>RSD 400,000<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Citizens Association \u201cAkademska Scena\u201d, Bajina Ba\u0161ta<\/strong><br>Support model: On-the-job training<br>Approved amount:\u00a0<strong>RSD 400,000<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Centre E8, Belgrade<\/strong><br>Support model: Internship<br>Approved amount:\u00a0<strong>RSD 400,000<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pan\u010devo Film Festival (PAFF), Pan\u010devo<\/strong><br>Support model: Internship<br>Approved amount:\u00a0<strong>RSD 290,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We congratulate the selected organizations and look forward to the implementation of programmes that will contribute to knowledge exchange, the development of new professional competencies and the long-term strengthening of Serbia\u2019s independent cultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Launched in October 2021, the&nbsp;<strong>Culture for Democracy (CfD)<\/strong>&nbsp;project represents Switzerland\u2019s first comprehensive and long-term initiative in the field of arts and culture in Serbia.
