The scheme supports advocacy processes, research, collaboration, and development of sustainable approaches that address key challenges for the independent cultural sector, including access to adequate spaces for cultural work and more stable and sustainable funding conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The open call attracted strong interest from consortia of organizations working to advance systemic change within the cultural sector. Three partnerships were selected for support, with a total of 9,674,153 MKD. Implemented over periods of up to 27 months, the selected projects focus on research, policy development, advocacy actions, knowledge sharing, strengthening advocacy capacities, and building stronger links between independent cultural actors, institutions, and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The supported initiatives focus on improving the conditions for independent cultural work by addressing issues such as access to cultural infrastructure, funding frameworks, and inclusive cultural spaces. Through research, consultations, focus groups, public dialogue, media content, and other advocacy activities, the projects will produce evidence-based recommendations and develop practical models that can be applied in different contexts. Their aim is to support more effective cultural policies and contribute to a more open, resilient, and participatory cultural ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The consortia selected for support within the Advocacy Grants Scheme are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>JADRO \u2013 Association of the Independent Cultural Scene<\/strong> (in partnership with the Institute for Media and Analytics \u2013 IMA): 3,612,553 MKD, implementation period: 16\/03\/2026 \u2013 30\/06\/2028<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>International Association of Citizens Cultural Echoes Skopje<\/strong> (in partnership with Association for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection GO GREEN Skopje): 3,357,600 MKD, implementation period: 01\/05\/2026 \u2013 30\/04\/2028<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Foundation for Debate and Education IDEA Southeast Europe, Skopje \u2013 Vidi Vaka <\/strong>(in partnership with Safe House, a subsidiary of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of North Macedonia \u2013 MHC): 2,704,000 MKD, implementation period: 01\/06\/2026 \u2013 31\/01\/2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The project Culture for Development aims to contribute to the growth of the arts and the shaping of socio-political norms, recognizing culture as a vital tool for fostering a more open, democratic, and interconnected society.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This activity is supported by the Culture of Development project of the Government of Switzerland and is implemented by Heartefact Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The supported initiatives focus on improving the conditions for independent cultural work by addressing issues such as access to cultural infrastructure, funding frameworks, and inclusive cultural spaces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":497,"featured_media":27273,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[332,90],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-27272","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-culture-for-development","category-news-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.7 -
