About Heartefact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heartefact is a regional organisation working across art, human rights, and social imagination.<br>Through its three interconnected components \u2014 the&nbsp;<strong>Heartefact Fund<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Heartefact Institute<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Heartefact House<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 it brings together artistic production, research and education, and civil society engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operating in multiple countries and languages, Heartefact connects artists, activists, and audiences who imagine and create new ways of understanding and belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the organisation enters a new phase of development and digital transformation, we are seeking a person who will help us connect these diverse layers into a coherent, living communication system that supports our work and community across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Role Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>Regional Communication Lead<\/strong>&nbsp;will shape and lead Heartefact\u2019s communication strategy across all countries and programmes \u2014 uniting the Fund, Institute, and House under a shared narrative and set of values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This person will work at the intersection of&nbsp;<strong>storytelling, management, and digital innovation<\/strong>, developing both strategic frameworks and hands-on communication practices that strengthen Heartefact\u2019s visibility, accessibility, and impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking for a&nbsp;<strong>dynamic and collaborative individual<\/strong>, guided by values and curiosity, who enjoys working&nbsp;<strong>with others and through others<\/strong>, and who is interested in building new approaches to communication together with the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The position includes leading a&nbsp;<strong>core communication team of at least two permanent members<\/strong>, as well as coordinating a network of&nbsp;<strong>collaborators<\/strong>&nbsp;(designers, videographers, writers, translators) from different parts of the organisation and the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Regional Communication Lead will also promote&nbsp;<strong>Heartefact\u2019s theatre productions, artistic residencies, grant programmes, and educational initiatives<\/strong>, as well as the&nbsp;<strong>new digital tools and platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;developed to improve cooperation, visibility, and innovation in cultural work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Strategic and Creative Direction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and lead the\u00a0<strong>regional communication strategy<\/strong>\u00a0in alignment with Heartefact\u2019s mission, programmes, and digital transformation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and manage the communication team (permanent staff and associates).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure coherence of tone, message, and visual identity across all Heartefact components (Fund, Institute, House).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate communication for theatre productions, artistic projects, grant programmes, and public events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead communication around digital initiatives \u2014 tools, resources, and knowledge-sharing platforms that enhance collaboration and innovation in the cultural field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to shaping new approaches to audience engagement, programme visibility, and community building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the communication budget and contribute to institutional planning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Editorial and Content Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Curate and supervise the\u00a0<strong>shared editorial calendar<\/strong>\u00a0(website, social media, newsletters, press, subscription).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee multilingual content creation (English, Serbian, Albanian, Macedonian), ensuring clarity, consistency, and accessibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with programme teams to translate artistic and social projects into stories that resonate with diverse audiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure documentation and archiving of communication materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define and sustain Heartefact\u2019s narrative voice \u2014 empathetic, bold, and contemporary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Digital Ecosystem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee Heartefact\u2019s\u00a0<strong>website<\/strong>\u00a0as a living archive and central communication hub.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate the launch and management of the\u00a0<strong>subscription community<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>shop<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise CRM systems and analytics tools (Mailchimp, Airtable\/Notion, social media insights).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyse communication performance and audience trends to guide future strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Media and Public Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain relationships with media outlets, cultural networks, and European partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare press materials, interviews, and campaigns for productions, projects, and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen Heartefact\u2019s media presence and position as a key voice in the regional cultural landscape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Collaboration and Capacity Building<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work horizontally with programme teams across all Heartefact components.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage collaborative communication planning and collective authorship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support colleagues and partners in developing communication skills and storytelling practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster experimentation, curiosity, and a learning mindset in all communication processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>4. The responsibilities listed above represent the full scope of the position, but they will be phased and prioritised in alignment with the organisation\u2019s needs and the Communication Lead\u2019s realistic capacity. The Communication Lead will work with an expanding team and set priorities collaboratively with senior management.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7.
