{"id":14839,"date":"2023-11-02T16:39:57","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T16:39:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heartefact.org\/second-call-for-proposals-for-kosovo-serbia-research-fellowship\/"},"modified":"2024-09-19T13:23:25","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T13:23:25","slug":"second-call-for-proposals-for-kosovo-serbia-research-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heartefact.org\/en\/second-call-for-proposals-for-kosovo-serbia-research-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"Second call for proposals for Kosovo-Serbia research fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heartefact is pleased to invite applications for the 2024 Kosovo-Serbia research fellowship program.&#13;\nFellowships are available for five primarily young to mid-career professionals from Kosovo and Serbia&#13;\nworking at local or national institutions, academia, opinion makers, analysts, researchers, or publicly&#13;\nexposed individuals engaged in new media, IT and creative industries. The fellows are supposed to&#13;\nconduct the research which should focus on creating new and constructive narratives on Kosovo-&#13;\nSerbia relations, ranging from political issues to topics related to economy and business, culture,&#13;\nsports, legacy of the conflict past or any other politically or socially relevant area. During their stay in&#13;\nresidency in Belgrade and Prishtina, the fellows will have the opportunity to impact public narratives&#13;\nby developing advocacy actions in relation to their research and bring to the wider public new&#13;\nperspectives.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Technical details<\/strong>: Fellowships run for a full 3-month period (any three months in a row in the period&#13;\nof February-September 2024. They consist of two months of research at the place of the fellows\u2019&#13;\nresidence and one-month residency in Belgrade or Prishtina (whichever differs from the place of their&#13;\norigin). Fellows will receive stipends of 2880 USD (gross amount) for the duration of the program. In&#13;\naddition, their accommodation in Belgrade or Prishtina will also be covered by Heartefact. During the&#13;\nimplementation of this program, Heartefact will offer its fellows with logistical and programmatic&#13;\nsupport.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application procedure:<\/strong> Candidates for fellowship are invited to submit their applications (preferable,&#13;\nbut not mandatory, in English) which should include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Candidate\u2019s CV <\/li><li>Research proposal with up to three pages of text with following details: &#13;\n<ul><li>abstract for the research idea,<\/li><li>topic relevance and\/or motivation to work on the proposed topic,<\/li><li>research methodology,<\/li><li>timeline,<\/li><li>needed resources, including access to archive materials and\/or press clipping,<\/li><li>target groups for potential interviews (if relevant). <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline for submissions via e-mail prijava@heartefact.org is 18 December 2023.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selection procedure<\/strong>: The fellows will be selected through an open call and peer-review panel&#13;\nconsisting of individuals who represent prominent figures in building relations between Kosovar and&#13;\nSerbian societies. Heartefact is looking for stories which oppose the dominant narratives of constant&#13;\ndisputes between Albanian and Serbian people and is willing to support research fellowships which&#13;\nbring new perspectives on the causes of current political situations or open perspectives on&#13;\ncooperation and building the trust between two societies.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About Heartefact: Heartefact is a multi-disciplinary organization based in Belgrade which convenes&#13;\nand maintains fora where cultural and social\u00a0reality is critically questioned, the past is remembered&#13;\nand learnt from, individuality is encouraged and\u00a0talent is celebrated, creative and forward-thinking&#13;\nindividuals are empowered to try and allowed to fail\u2014so\u00a0that the cultural and public space for all&#13;\npeople is diversified, enriched, made vibrant and more accepting towards differences.
