For over fifteen years, we have been shaping the independent cultural scene in Serbia and across the Western Balkans. We produce theatre and other artistic programmes, publish contemporary plays, and support artists in exploring new practices and underrepresented perspectives. We create space to reflect on different aspects of social, political, and economic reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2022, we have also had a physical home \u2013 Heartefact House, an intimate theatre venue in the heart of Belgrade dedicated to contemporary socially engaged art. The House brings artists and audiences together around performances and programmes that use thoughtful dramaturgy, innovative directorial approaches, and powerful performances to explore questions that matter to the society we live in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our productions have been presented at major international festivals and theatre venues, from Sterijino Pozorje in Serbia, and the Triennale Milano to New York, <\/span>reaching audiences locally, regionally, and globally.<\/b><\/p>\n

To date, Heartefact House <\/span>has produced over fifty artistic programmes<\/b>, awarded numerous new plays selected from more than 1,200 submissions to our <\/span>Competition for the Best Contemporary Drama<\/a><\/strong>,<\/strong> and participated in dozens of European cooperation projects with international partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are open to co-productions, touring opportunities, festival invitations, joint projects, and new artistic encounters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarajevo Theatre Showcase is an annual industry event held during the second week of September, providing a vital platform for theater professionals from Southeast Europe. Led by the Sarajevo War Theatre in collaboration with partners from Norway, Italy, Serbia, and Croatia, this project seeks to create a dynamic platform for co-production, talent development, and sustainable practices in the regional theatre industry.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMonument to Zoran Djindjic\t\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The monument with the sound installation \u201cArrow\u201d dedicated to the politician and philosopher Zoran Djindji\u0107 is more than an artistic homage to one man \u2013 it grows into a \u201cspace of memory\u201d (\u201cLieux de memoire\u201d) which carries our collective memory not only of the person but also of the work of Zoran Djindji\u0107, primarily of spoken and written words which, as our collective trauma shows, no one was there to hear. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
